Welcome to the Sixth Form

As the very proud Headteacher of Dartford Grammar School for Girls, I would like to warmly welcome you to our Virtual Sixth Form Transition.
We believe our Sixth Form is very special, and will enable you to excel academically whilst developing your personal skills, interests and talents. Our Sixth Form is characterised by high expectations within a friendly, supportive and caring environment, where each student is valued as an individual. Both DGGS students and new students who join us from other schools quickly feel part of the Sixth Form community and together, they play a full part in the life of the school and Sixth Form.
We hope that you find the Virtual Sixth Form Transition information helpful to support you in preparing for our Sixth Form, and we look forward to welcoming you in September.

Thank you for your interest in our Sixth Form. As the Head of Dartford Grammar School for Girls’ ‘Exceptional’ Sixth Form, I am incredibly proud of our students and the Sixth Form community as a whole. As you will see from our prospectus, we have a wide range of A Levels to choose from, with Academic, Sporting and Enrichment Electives which give students the opportunity to ‘own their journey, create their futures’ through a curriculum which is bespoke to them.
Please take time to view our videos (link) which give you an idea of what to expect as a member of our Sixth Form community, including leadership and wider opportunities, spaces and resources available to them and what a typical day looks like.
On our Sixth Form News page, you will be able to view all our updates from the current academic year.
Applications for September 2026 Entry Open at 8:30am on Thursday 20th August. You can apply through the online form and will be required to upload a copy of your results as part of the application form.
Please access the subject links (link) for your chosen subjects to view the work you can do over the summer in preparation for the challenge of the A Level curriculum in these subjects.
We hope to be able to welcome you in September!
