Sixth Form Open Evening 2026

It was excellent to see so many of our  Year 11 students last night at our Sixth Form Open Evening, as well as welcoming so many visitors who are currently attending other schools. The Sixth Form students really impressed me as they spoke to the younger students with  confidence, knowledge and pride in their Sixth Form. The Head Students were fantastic - delivering speeches to so many families over the evening, and the performers in the fairy-light lit marquee really created a friendly ambiance.  The guides were so positive and all students were displaying their best selves.  We were very proud of them all.

We really hope our Year 11 students were able to leave last night with a good understanding of what Sixth Form life is like here, with a bespoke curriculum with 3 A Levels at its core, with the opportunity to study one of 9 additional Level 3 qualifications, which we call our Academic Electives, as well as our extensive Sporting and Enrichment Electives.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (L3), Language for Business - Spanish (L3), Sports Leadership (L3), Gold Arts Award (L3), Extended Project Qualification (L3), AS Mathematics, AS Further Mathematics, and A 4th A Level.

We would also like to thank our staff for all the work which went into the evening. This includes our expert, knowledgeable subject specialist teachers and subject leaders for their displays and work during the evening. They were able to share this knowledge of their courses with students and their parents/carers throughout the night.

We would also like to mention our excellent, experienced Sixth Form Team. This came out as a particular strength from the student feedback and speeches throughout the night. We are really looking forward to welcoming our current Year 11 students into Year 12 in September 2026.
