PSHE Interviews
Year 12 students recently took part in a series of Life Skills sessions focused on interview preparation and employability skills. As part of the activity, students applied for a fictional job role and experienced a realistic interview process designed to build confidence and communication skills. During the sessions, students explored common interview questions, carefully considered the qualities employers look for, and even created thoughtful questions of their own to ask at the end of the interview. They also completed interview feedback sheets, allowing them to provide meaningful and constructive feedback to their peers.
Students demonstrated a wide range of positive qualities throughout the process, showing professionalism, confidence and strong communication skills. They reflected on their own performance by identifying important interview “do’s and don’ts” and considering how they could continue to improve their techniques in future interviews. Overall, the sessions provided a valuable opportunity for students to develop important life and career skills in a supportive environment. We would like to praise students for their excellent presentation skills and for using strong examples to support their qualities and experiences.
