Musical: Into the Woods

On the 19th March Year 12 students went to watch ‘Into the Woods’ at the Bridge theatre in London. In Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical, the Baker, the Baker’s Wife, the Witch, Jack, Little Red Ridinghood, Cinderella and Rupunzel take the audience on a journey beyond the happily ever after.

Below are some quotes from the A level music students on their experience:

  • “BEST TRIP EVER! The experience was amazing with all my friends and the set was enchanting, particularly the lighting through the forest scene” - Yara and Annalise
  • “I enjoyed the operatic feel of the Bakers Wife song, moment in the woods. The song displayed vocal virtuosity” - Precious
  • “The orchestra was very skilled, they were split across two sides of the stage and really in time. It was hard to believe it was live! - Ivana
