Kent School Trampolining Competition Report
Kent Schools Trampolining Competition took place on Monday 16th March at the Jumpers Centre in Gillingham, bringing together talented young athletes from across the county for a day of exciting and competitive performance. The event was a fantastic celebration of skill, determination and competitors demonstrated impressive control, creativity, and confidence in their routines. Throughout the day, there was a wonderful atmosphere of encouragement and sportsmanship, with students supporting one another and celebrating each performance. The standard of trampolining was exceptionally high, showcasing the strength of the sport within DGGS. Our team achieved an outstanding set of individual results:
- Roshana E 1st Place (U13 Elementary)
- Clarissa O 1st Place (U15 Elementary)
- Abisola O 2nd Place (U12 Elementary)
- Aimua O 3rd Place (U15 Elementary)
- Ilektra T 1st Place (U15 Advanced)
In addition, our teams delivered excellent performances across multiple categories:
- U12 Elementaryo 2nd Place: Abisola A, Abigail H, Damiola, A 3rd
- Place: Keona AK, Kaitlyn C, Bukunmi O
- U15 Elementaryo 1st Place: Clarissa O, Oluwadesire A, Mary D
- U15 Advancedo 1st Place: Ilektra T, Dakota C, Isabella P
- U15 Intermediate 2nd Place: Vanessa V, Ann-Talea A, Anita A
These results are a testament to the students' dedication, resilience, and commitment to their training, with numerous podium finishes highlighting a very successful day for the school. A special mention must go to our coach, Keith Sleafer, whose commitment and passion have been instrumental in supporting the team. This year marks Keith’s 50th year in supporting the London Youth Games which is a testament to his long-standing dedication, experience, and the positive impact he has had on the DGGS community. The competition was a great success, not only in terms of performance but also in fostering school spirit.
