Huge congratulations!
Shanaya 10H has had her undeniable talent for writing poetry recognised by the judges of the Canterbury Festival Schools’ Poetry competition who awarded her the £50 prize for Best Poet on Thursday 12th October.
Her poem A Mother, written on the theme of Refuge, was selected from over 400 entries across Kent and has been published in the 12-15 year old category of the anthology of all the shortlisted poems.
Poetry Club members and the whole school community are very proud of her success.
