Dartford Grammar School for Girls

Artsmark Gold Award

Every two years, Artsmark requires schools to reapply with evidence of how, and why the school feels that they are deserving of the prestigious Artsmark Award. At the end of Term 6, we worked hard on collating and providing this evidence and were very happy to learn, on returning to school in September, that we have maintained our Artsmark Gold Award status. This award is the only creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. It supports schools to develop and celebrate arts and cultural education, putting creativity and wellbeing at the heart of the curriculum. Artsmark ensures every young person can be creative and access a diverse, high-quality, cultural education.

We are extremely proud of achieving our Artsmark Gold Award, and are committed to delivering a high-quality arts and cultural education. We look forward to continuing to grow with Artsmark.

Dr Darren Henley CBE, Chief Executive of the Arts Council said “I would like to congratulate Dartford Grammar School for Girls on their Artsmark Gold Award. Maintaining your Artsmark status demonstrates that through offering a broad, ambitious, and creative curriculum, every pupil can develop character and resilience, increasing their knowledge, curiosity and skills that will remain with them through to adult life.”
